Lieutenant Colonel Gun Lee serves as Administrative and Corrections Bureau Commander for the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office. He began his career with the Fairfax County Police Depart (FCPD) in 1993. He served in various roles and assignments, including Patrol Officer, Sergeant, Lieutenant, and Captain. He commanded patrol stations, Major Crimes Division, and Internal Affairs Bureau as a Major. In 2018 he was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel and served as the Deputy Chief of Police for Administration. As the Deputy Chief, he was responsible for the Criminal Justice Academy and the Administrative Support, Information Technology, and Resource Management Bureaus. Lieutenant Colonel Lee is a graduate of the FBI National Academy (2015) and graduated from George Mason University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management (2007) and a Master’s in Public Administration (2021).

Additionally, Lieutenant Colonel Lee completed advanced training in the areas of Managing Police Discipline, Special Weapons and Tactics, Instructor Development School, Advanced Hostage Negotiations, and Police involved Shootings. He also completed multiple executive leadership programs from prominent institutes. He is married and has an adult son who graduated from the Virginia Tech university.
