The Uniform Statewide Building Code under Zoning Ordinance 6-403, allows us to deny any permits if your taxes are delinquent. Since, many of the mortgage companies send payments in right at the tax deadline, which may impact your ability to obtain a permit, please provide our office with a mortgage company contact person who can confirm that a payment was sent in or is enroute.
