  • Applications for variances as authorized by the zoning ordinance.
  • Appeals from the decisions of the Loudoun County Zoning Administrator regarding interpretation of the zoning map where there is uncertainty as to the location of a zoning district boundary.

The BZA has five members and two alternates who are appointed by the chief judge of the Loudoun County Circuit Court for staggered terms of five years. BZA members must be residents of Loudoun County. This opening is due to a resignation. The term expires on December 2, 2026.
