Update- LCSO Investigating Suspected Murder-Suicide in Ashburn
Loudoun County, VA (May 26, 2022) – A death investigation involving two adults at an Ashburn home on Tuesday is being investigated as a suspected domestic-related murder-suicide.
The LCSO responded to the 20060 block of Old Line Terrace shortly before 9:30 a.m. on May 24 for a report of an adult male, John N. Ratib Sharmoukh, age 45, who was located deceased outside the home. An adult female, identified as Mariam A. Farouk Kamal, age 31, was found deceased inside the residence.
The investigation is being conducted in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner and the Loudoun County Fire Marshal’s Office.

Loudoun County, VA (May 24, 2022 / 3:00 pm) – The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office is conducting a death investigation involving two adults at an Ashburn home. There is no indication of a threat to the community.
The LCSO responded to the 20060 block of Old Line Terrace shortly before 9:30 a.m. this morning for a deceased adult male located outside of the home. An adult female was found deceased inside the residence.
The identities of the two adults are not being released at this time. There were no other occupants inside the residence.
The investigation is being conducted in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

Loudoun County, VA (May 24, 2022) – The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office is currently conducting a death investigation at an Ashburn home. The incident appears to be isolated to the home and there is no indication of a threat to the community.
The LCSO responded to the residence in the 20060 block of Old Line Terrace shortly before 9:30 a.m. this morning for an assist rescue call.
