Loudoun County, VA (April 20, 2022) – Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office corrections and courts recruits took top honors and leadership roles during the tenth session of the Skyline Regional Criminal Justice Academy.
The members of the graduating class for Jail Officer Basic #10 are Jameika Brewer, Darin Creary (courts), and Muhammad Khaliq.
Deputy Creary took the highest honor in the class receiving the Ricky L. Timbrook Award, named in honor of the fallen Winchester Police Department Officer. The award goes to the recruit who personifies the highest standards. Deputy Creary also received the Top Overall Achievement Award, the Top Academic Achievement Award, the Top Physical Fitness (male) award, and the Top Skills Achievement award. Deputy Creary also served as class speaker. Deputy Brewer placed third in the top academic achievement category.
The new court deputy will go through an 8-week in-house training program at the Loudoun County Court House while the correctional deputies will begin a six-week in-house training program at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center (ADC). The state-of-the-art facility opened in the summer of 2007 and houses maximum, medium, and minimum-security level inmates.
The Skyline Regional Criminal Justice Academy is a Virginia regional training academy that trains basic and veteran law enforcement officers, correctional officers, and communications officers for agencies across the commonwealth.
