The Loudoun County Board of Supervisors is seeking purchase offers for three county-owned parcels of land totaling 6.31 acres, in Aldie, Virginia. At its April 20, 2021 meeting, the Board voted to consider offers on the Aldie Assemblage property, which consists of property identification numbers 361-45-5744, 361-45-8246 and 361-45-9838. The Board will vote whether to accept an offer at its June 9, 2021 public hearing.
The properties are located at 39469, 39483 and 39491 John Mosby Highway, and were purchased in 2015 as a possible option for relocation of the existing Aldie Fire Station; however, this site is no longer under consideration. Loudoun County is seeking purchasers with an interest in purchasing the land and preserving several historic structures existing on the property, including a former tavern.
- Portions of the property are zoned RC (Rural Commercial) and A3.
- Portions of the property contain various Zoning Overlay Districts such as Floodplain, Historic, Village and Mountainside Overlay Districts.
- Potential purchasers are responsible for confirming site information and conducting their own due diligence to confirm property zoning, use, utilities and engineering details.
Interested parties should submit a letter of intent and offers by 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 by emailing Karen Lanham, Department of Transportation and Capital Infrastructure or by calling 571-233-0778.
