[ARCHIVED] Loudoun to Hold Virtual Public Input Meeting on Route 15 South Safety and Operational Study April 22

Loudoun County is hosting its second online meeting to gain input from the public on Route 15 south. The Route 15 south public input meeting will be held Thursday, April 22, 2021, 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. Members of the public are invited to attend the virtual meeting to review updated proposed improvement concepts and provide feedback. The study area includes approximately 12 miles of Route 15 (James Monroe Highway) from the southern corporate limit of the Town of Leesburg to the Prince William County boundary.

Information on how to join the online meeting and to review meeting materials, including a pre-recorded presentation, detailed corridor diagrams and an online survey, may be found at loudoun.gov/route15south and loudoun.gov/remoteparticipation. Members of the public must sign up to ask questions by completing an online form no later than April 21, 2021, at 12:00 p.m. 

Loudoun County is conducting a Route 15 South Safety and Operational Study. The purpose of the study is to identify safety and traffic operational issues and present recommended solutions for consideration by the Board of Supervisors. The county is working with the public to ensure any proposed improvements along Route 15 south will continue to carry local and commuter traffic safely and efficiently while preserving the unique context of the historical roadway.
