Anyone who needs to become a certified food protection manager or re-certify is encouraged to take the ServSafe Manager training scheduled for April 23, 2020, at the offices of the Virginia Cooperative Extension-Loudoun. Registration is now open.
The 8-hour Food Protection Manager Certification was developed by the Educational Foundation of the National Restaurant Association. The text, ServSafe® Manager Book, is part of the foundation’s food safety program. After completing the classroom work, participants take a national certification exam developed by the foundation. Upon passing, participants receive their Food Protection Manager Certification that is valid for 5 years.
The ServSafe® Manager Course is for:
~ Managers of food service operations for hotels, restaurants, schools, clubs and institutions.
~ Food and Beverage Managers
~ Catering Managers
~ Dietary Managers
You must pre-register to take the class. Cost is $160. Fee includes instructor-led class, textbook, exam and 5-year certification with passing score.
This one-day training will be held at the Cooperative Extension Office in Leesburg, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Thursday, April 23, 2020, at 750 Miller Dr., SE, Suite F-3, Leesburg, VA 20175.
