LCSO Investigating Fatality on Algonkian Parkway

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Loudoun County, VA (November 21, 2019) – The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office is conducting a death investigation after a driver reported he was traveling westbound on Algonkian Parkway near Westmoreland Drive when he observed a person in the roadway. 

The driver was unable to stop in time and struck the victim. The driver called 911 shortly before 4 a.m. this morning and remained at the scene. 

 The victim, an adult female, was pronounced deceased upon arrival at a local hospital. The identity of the victim has not been released pending notification of family. 

The case remains under investigation.

Anyone who was in the area around the time of the incident and who has not already talked to the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office is asked to contact Investigator M. Lotz at 703-777-1021.
