Loudoun County, VA- The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office Adult Detention Center received 100% compliance after an audit of the Virginia Board of Corrections’ Compliance standards for Jails and Lock-ups.
The facility and its employees achieved 100% compliance in July 2017 at the completion of this intensive audit. The audit reviewed documentation from the last 3 years of operation and ensured compliance with 128 strict compliance standards necessary for certification.
“Our staff at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center continue to achieve the highest standards and should be commended for their efforts and for receiving 100% compliance,” said Loudoun County Sheriff Mike Chapman.
The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office opened the state-of-the-art Adult Detention Center in 2007 with the phase II expansion opening in 2012. The Adult Detention Center includes administrative offices and the Loudoun County Magistrate’s Office within the same compound.
The Adult Detention Center uses both the direct supervision and the podular remote methods of inmate supervision.
