LCSO is Seeking Witness After Stolen Vehicle is
Recovered in the Town of Leesburg
Loudoun County- Detectives from the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office are seeking potential witnesses after a vehicle stolen during a reported carjacking in Sterling was located engulfed in flames in the Town of Leesburg this morning.
Around 2 a.m., Loudoun County Fire-Rescue personnel and the Town of Leesburg Police Department responded to the area of Forbes Court NE and Heritage Way NE for a vehicle fire. The investigation determined that the vehicle was a 2016 Toyota Highlander and was reported stolen by two suspects November 8 during an armed carjacking on Paddington Station Terrace in Sterling.
The suspects in that case were described as White males, possibly with tan/medium skin complexions, in their 20's or early 30's. One suspect was wearing a dark beanie, jacket and pants. The second was wearing a dark jacket and tan pants.
The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office is working with the Loudoun County Fire Marshal's Office to determine the circumstances surrounding the vehicle fire.
