Ashburn Man Arrested in Connection with
Two Robberies in Dulles South
Loudoun County, VA – An Ashburn man has been arrested in connection with two Saturday morning robberies in the Dulles South area.
Eugene Copeland, 34, of Ashburn, was taken into custody Sunday and has been charged with two counts of Robbery.
At 7:40 a.m. March 25, Copeland was suspected of entering the Sunoco A-Plus store in the 43000 Block of Defender Drive. He then walked into the employee office and took an employee to the front registers. The suspect implied that he had a handgun and demanded cash. The suspect stole cash and fled on foot from the store. No injuries were reported during the incident.
Less than 30 minutes later, the LCSO responded to the 24000 Block of Pinebrook Drive for a report of a robbery. The same suspect entered the store, implied he had a weapon and demanded cash. The suspect stole cash and fled the area on foot. No injuries were reported during the incident.
The suspect was identified through the course of the investigation and apprehended this morning. Copeland remains held on no bond at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center.
