--UPDATE--LCSO Searches for a 56-Year-Old Man Missing
from the Sterling Area
Loudoun County, VA - The LCSO is saddened to report that a missing man last seen fishing Tuesday evening in the area of Seneca Regional Park was found deceased Saturday afternoon in Fairfax County. All indications are his death was accidental.

LCSO Searches for a 56-Year-Old Man Missing
from the Sterling Area
The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public to help locate a missing Sterling man who has a possible physical impairment from the Sterling area.
Harry Schmalz, 56, left his residence yesterday afternoon on his way to Great Falls Park. Mr. Schmalz was reported missing this afternoon and was seen in the area of Algonkian Regional Park in Sterling last night. He is an avid fisherman and he is known to take walks in regional parks.
Mr. Schmalz is 5-feet, 9-inches tall, 200 pounds with gray hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing cargo shorts, a polo with a khaki vest and a khaki bucket hat with fishing lures.
Anyone with any information regarding his whereabouts is asked to immediately the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office at 703-777-1021.
