Centreville Man Arrested in Connection with Ashburn Shooting
Loudoun County – A Centreville man has been arrested and charged in connection with a shooting that occurred early Sunday morning at a residence in Ashburn.
Charles A. Forbes, 27, was taken into custody this afternoon by the U.S. Marshals Service Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force (CARFTF) in Prince William County. Forbes is charged with Aggravated Malicious Wounding, Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.
On April 22nd at approximately 5:10 a.m., the LCSO was notified of the shooting after the victim was dropped off by acquaintances at the Lansdowne Campus of Inova Loudoun Hospital. The acquaintances attempted to leave the area but were located nearby.
The victim and the suspect are known to each other and it appears a previous altercation between the two led to the shooting. The victim, an adult male, remains hospitalized.
Forbes is currently being held at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center on no bond.
