WV Woman Charged with Felony Drug Charge
Loudoun County, Va. – An encounter with a suspected intoxicated female on March 22, 2018 uncovered approximately six pounds of marijuana, over $1500 in cash, 200 grams of THC oil and led to the arrest of a West Virginia woman involved in the distribution of narcotics.
Lisa M. Polk, 56, of Capon Bridge, WV was driving in the area of Route 7 near Round Hill, Va. when she came upon deputies conducting traffic control in the area for a downed utility line. Polk was asking for directions from a deputy who determined she was possibly under the influence of alcohol.
Polk was found to have an open container of alcohol in the vehicle and a subsequent search of the vehicle uncovered multiple suitcases with narcotics inside. The search located individually packaged marijuana, cash, THC oil as well as packaging materials, anti-scent bags, rolling papers and other narcotic related paraphernalia.
Polk has been charged with felony possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and public intoxication. She was released from the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center on a secured bond.
