Leesburg Man Charged with 50 Counts of Distribution of Child Pornography
Loudoun County, Va.- A Leesburg man has been charged with 50 counts of distribution of child pornography after a joint investigation between the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office, the FBI, the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force (ICAC), and the United States Postal Inspection Service.
Claude J. Church, Jr., 23, was taken into custody on July 19 after a six month investigation into online activities by the suspect. Detectives with the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office Special Victims Unit, in coordination with the FBI Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking Task Force, conducted a search warrant at his home in the 22500 block of Watson Road in May 2018. Multiple electronic devices were removed from the home and hundreds of images of child pornography were ultimately discovered after a thorough computer forensics examination.
Church remains held at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center on no bond.
