Loudoun County, VA: The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office welcomed their newest member on August 11, 2012. Two-year-old Buddy and his partner Deputy Dave Orr graduated from the CIA Explosive Detection Canine School.
The school concluded after 10-weeks of intense training. Buddy will work alongside Deputy Orr, a 6-year-veteran of the agency, who is currently assigned to the Field Operations Division.
Buddy is a Yellow Labrador Retriever and came from the Puppies Behind Bars (PBB) program. The program trains prison inmates to raise service dogs for wounded war veterans and explosive canines for law enforcement.
