Grant Q&A: Funding Request (Questions 12, 13, 14)

Question 12a. 
When writing the cost calculations and narrative descriptions, should we describe how we calculated the total costs for each line item or only how we calculated the portion to be funded?

Answer: 
Only the cost calculations for items being requested for County funding are required. 


Question 13. 

Can you give an example of how to calculate the current FY 2020 operating revenues, if we are anticipating additional funding before the end of the year?

Answer:
You may include estimated year-end revenues in your calculation, if they are listed as such.
For example:

$95,000 (year-to-date revenues) $5,000 (estimated year-end giving) = $100,000 x 30% = $30,000


Question 14: 
Does this question and objective require that each applicant is expected to be able to cite confirmed funding sources for July 1, 2021 and beyond?  

Answer:
No, most applicants will not know the status of their funding sources for July 1, 2021. We want to see what funding sources are currently planned or in place to support the service, and whether these sources are expected to continue beyond FY21.
