Loudoun County Update
- COVID-19 Testing Events February 15 & 18 in Leesburg: Loudoun County has scheduled COVID-19 testing events tomorrow, Tuesday, February 15, and Friday, February 18, 2022, at Philip A. Bolen Memorial Park, 42405 Claudia Drive, Leesburg (Enter the park on Crosstrail Boulevard from Sycolin Road.) Testing is scheduled from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., but may begin early to mitigate traffic impacts and may close early if capacity is reached. The required registration form may be filled out and submitted online prior to the testing event.
- Register online (English) | Español
- The form is required and asks for general information including name, date of birth, address and phone number. The information is kept private. For anyone who cannot submit the forms online, paper forms will also be available at the testing site.
- The county is ending its COVID-19 testing program at the end of the month due to a significant decrease in demand for COVID-19 testing and the wide availability of other testing options in the community.
- Find more details at loudoun.gov/covid19testing.
- Self-Testing Instructions: Not sure how to use a COVID-19 self-test? The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has gathered information and instructional videos from many self-test manufacturers and posted the information and videos online.
- COVID-19 Vaccine Available: Loudoun County health officials continue to encourage everyone age 5 and older who is not fully vaccinated to get a COVID-19 vaccination as soon as possible. In addition, anyone who is eligible is encouraged to get a booster dose.
- Vaccine is widely available from many providers in Loudoun, such as medical offices and pharmacies including, but not limited to, CVS, Giant Food, Harris Teeter, Safeway, Walgreens, Walmart and Wegmans. These locations have the benefit of being able to also provide flu vaccine at the same time, which is recommended by the Health Department. Visit vaccines.gov to find the vaccination site nearest to you.
- Walk-in service and appointments are available at the county’s vaccination site located at the Dulles Town Center. Note that the mass vaccination site will close permanently effective at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, February 26, 2022. Until then, the clinic will continue to provide first and second doses of COVID-19 vaccine, as well as boosters. To learn more, visit loudoun.gov/covid19vaccine.
- Need a Replacement Vaccination Record? If you’ve misplaced your COVID-19 vaccination card, you can get a replacement vaccination record online from the Virginia Department of Health. The new record will include a QR code. The barcode, which can be scanned with smartphones, will allow anyone to show proof of vaccination with a digital or printed QR code instead of a paper card, and without the need for an app. A person vaccinated in Virginia can visit vaccinate.virginia.gov to obtain a free vaccination record with QR code, which can then be saved to a phone, printed on paper or stored in a compatible account. If you need assistance over the phone, call the Virginia Immunization Information System (VIIS) Help Desk at 866-375-9795 between 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday for assistance.
