Loudoun County Update
- New text message service for positive COVID-19 tests. The Virginia Department of Health has launched a new service that will send texts to people who test positive for COVID-19. This new text messaging service will be used to alert anyone with a registered valid mobile phone number of a positive COVID-19 test result. The message will contain a link and a code to allow the message recipient to anonymously submit the test result through COVIDWISE, Virginia’s free COVID-19 Exposure Notifications app, to share with others who may have been exposed. VDH says the new service is intended to streamline the process for positive test result awareness and exposure notifications. Details in this news release from VDH.
