- Governor Northam Announces $246 Million to Support Response to COVID-19 in Long-Term Care Facilities; Directs Increased Public Reporting
Governor Ralph Northam has announced new guidelines and testing requirements for reopening long-term care facilities, and outlined how the Commonwealth will direct $246 million, primarily from federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act funding, to support long-term care facilities in their response to COVID-19. In addition, the Governor is directing the Virginia Department of Health (VDH) to make public facility-specific data regarding COVID-19 cases and deaths associated with long-term care facilities.
- Round 3 Business Interruption Fund Drawing Set for June 23
The random drawing for recipients of the Loudoun County Business Interruption Fund is scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 23, 2020. This third round of funding will provide 400 randomly selected businesses with a $5,000 grant to help offset the economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. The drawing will be livestreamed for public viewing on the Loudoun Economic Development Facebook page, LoudounBusinessFund.org, Loudoun.gov and on cable television channels Comcast Government Channel 23, Open Band Channel 40 and Verizon FiOS Channel 40.
