Board of Supervisors OK’s Riverside Parkway Construction Contract

A contract for the construction of Riverside Parkway, from Lexington Drive to Loudoun County Parkway, was approved by the Board of Supervisors on September 19, 2019. Francis O. Day Company, Inc. was awarded the contract. The winning bid was $10,450,483.18. The company was one of six bidders for the project. Invitation for Bids opened May 30, 2019 and closed on July 17, 2019.
The contract will provide for the construction of improvements on Riverside Parkway, from Loudoun County Parkway to Lexington Drive. Work will include the construction of a new segment of Riverside Parkway, beginning 0.1 mile east of the existing signalized intersection of Loudoun County Parkway and George Washington Blvd. and terminates 0.2 miles west of the intersection of Smith Circle. Construction work also terminates access to and removes the signalized intersection at Route 7 and Lexington Drive.
