The Loudoun County Office of Emergency Management encourages residents and business owners in Loudoun County to help build community resilience to disasters by providing comments on the proposed Northern Virginia Hazard Mitigation Plan. 

The deadline to provide comments is 5:00 p.m., October 8, 2022.


The Office of Emergency Management provides services to the community and other government agencies in a variety of areas, including: 

  • Community Outreach and Education
  • Countywide Threat and Hazard Planning
  • Operational Coordination
  • Training and Exercise
  • Special Events Oversight
  • Emergency Operations Center

Internship Program

The Loudoun County Office of Emergency Management offers unpaid internship opportunities to students seeking experience in emergency management. The intern will gain experience in multiple facets of emergency management. Anyone who is interested in learning more about the program is encouraged to contact the office by email.
