COVID-19: How You Can Help

Residents, businesses and organizations who want to help fill community needs are encouraged to:

  • Make donations to local community-based organizations.
  • Touch base with your neighbors, particularly those that are older, and offer to lend a hand with gathering necessities. 
  • Hyper-local Facebook groups, NextDoor, and other platforms are providing ways for neighbors to connect and help each other.

Community Human Services Providers

Residents who want to contribute are also encouraged to consider making monetary contributions or grocery gift card donations to our human service providers: 

  • Dulles South Food Pantry provides food, personal supplies and other assistance to those in need in the Dulles South area of Loudoun County. Call 703-507-2795 to donate food.
  • Dulles South Soup Kitchen  provides residents of Loudoun County with hot meals. Learn more about how to get involved.
  • INMED Partnerships for Children, a Sterling non-profit, is in need of diapers, feminine hygiene, and nonperishable food. To donate, please email INMED.
  • LINK, Inc. provides emergency food and financial assistance to qualified people in need. LINK is run by an all volunteer staff and is supported primarily by donations of food and funds. Make a financial donation or donate food or household items.  
  • Loudoun Cares, a nonprofit working to coordinate and connect people, has created an information and volunteer portal that will serve as a central place where nonprofits can post their needs and share volunteer opportunities. 
  • Loudoun Hunger Relief provides food assistance to all residents in need, and LHR is seeking financial and food donations. The organization is currently maintaining regular service hours at 750 Miller Dr. in Leesburg. Visit their Amazon wishlist.
  • The Loudoun Pet Pantry is a partnership between The Humane Society of Loudoun County, Loudoun County Animal Services and Loudoun Hunger Relief, providing pet food supplies for families in need. Cans and small bags of cat or dog food can be dropped off at Loudoun County Animal Services in Waterford, or purchased and shipped directly to the program via the Amazon wishlist.
  • The Lovettsville Food Pantry provides food assistance and is housed at the New Jerusalem Lutheran Church on Lutheran Church Road. To donate, contact the church at 540-822-5576.
  • Faith Chapel Church operates the Lucketts Community Food Pantry. Donations of cheese, cooking oil, canned fruit, black beans, pasta sauce, flour tortillas, breakfast cereal and snack bars are currently being accepted. To donate, call 703-608-8616. 
  • Mobile Hope, a nonprofit that helps precariously housed teens and young adults, is collecting donations for breakfast and lunch to help kids who are out of school and would normally receive free or reduced lunch. Mobile Hope is also  driving a bus around Loudoun County to provide food assistance, personal hygiene products and diapers. Make a financial donation or donate items.
  • Tree of Life Ministries will continue to offer weekly free community meals in Purcellville and Leesburg. They also offer food deliveries from their food pantry, which provides a two-week supply of groceries. In addition, they are collecting items to provide breakfast and lunch bags for kids, such as hot dogs, deli meat, non-perishable milk, potatoes, soups and cereal.   • Loudoun County Diaper Bank provides diapers and diapering supplies to local agencies, schools, clients and is currently accepting donations. 
  • Women Giving Back provides food and supplies to individuals and families, and is currently accepting donations of non-perishable food, diapers and wipes.

Medical Reserve Corps

Anyone who wants to help the Loudoun County Health Department keep residents safe from an outbreak of disease and protect the public’s health is encouraged to sign up to volunteer for the Medical Reserve Corps. No medical experience is necessary.
