About the Judicial System
The mission of Virginia’s judicial system is to assure that disputes are resolved justly, promptly, and economically. In Loudoun County, cases are heard by the Circuit Court, General District Court and Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court. Learn more about the Virginia Judicial System.

Courts Complex Phase III Expansion
All visitors to the courthouse are encouraged to allow ample time to locate the courthouse, park, make your way to the courthouse from the parking area, and pass through security screening to ensure you arrive on time for court and other appointments. Please note that construction of the new General District Courthouse is underway. Please use caution when entering and exiting the courts complex.

Probate
The Code of Virginia grants the Clerk of the Circuit Court the authority to Probate a Will, to appoint and qualify an Executor or Administrator for a Decedent’s Estate, to appoint and qualify a Testamentary Trustee, to qualify a Conservator and/or a Guardian for an Incapacitated Adult, to qualify a Guardian for the Person of a Minor and to appoint and qualify a Guardian for the Estate of a Minor.

Legal Services of Northern Virginia, Loudoun Branch
The office provides legal services to the low-income and elderly citizens of Loudoun County, including assistance with problems such as custody, child support, debt collection, landlord/tenant relations, bankruptcy, wills, and powers of attorney. Legal Services of Northern Virginia does not handle criminal or traffic cases.
State of Virginia Child Support Enforcement Information
Winchester District Office
Areas served include the Counties of Clarke, Frederick, Warren and Loudoun and the City of Winchester. The Virginia Division of Child Support Enforcement co-locates in the Loudoun County Department of Family Services office on the third Thursday of every month from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
