Babies begin to learn from the moment they are born. Every baby is different. Some babies may need more help to learn than others. By starting early, babies begin to develop the skills they will need for the rest of their lives.
The Early Intervention Program of Loudoun provides specialized services for families and children birth through thirty-six months of age. The program serves infants and toddlers who have a suspected delay, a diagnosis that could lead to delays, or atypical development. Children with vision and hearing impairments can also be served in this program.
Each child referred for early intervention services receives a developmental screening and / or assessment to determine eligibility for the program. If a child is eligible, an Individualized Family Service Plan is developed to address the family's concerns, priorities, and resources.
Each child and family has an Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP), which is unique to each family. Services include:
Speech and Language Therapy
How Service Coordination Works
